Privately guided discovery tour of New Zealand’s capital city, Wellington. Learn the story of New Zealand’s cultural and political development. Experience the diversity, creativity and innovation of the kiwis who choose to call Wellington home.

This tour starts with an informal Maori welcome followed by a visit to Te Papa to learn about New Zealand’s founding document, the Treaty of Waitangi.

From here, we travel to the New Zealand Parliament Buildings; a place where many world political firsts have occurred and forward thinking politics continue.

Information for participants

This tour requires participants to walk around 3 kilometres along formed paths. There is a staircase to be climbed during this tour.

It is not suitable for people with significant mobility issues.

Some access paths around venues we will be visiting are uneven and can be slippery when wet, so care is required.

This tour will proceed regardless of the weather, so participants are advised to check the forecast and dress appropriately for the conditions.

Comfortable footwear and clothing (including a light waterproof jacket and sunhat) are strongly recommended. Stiletto heels are not suitable for this tour.

Barista made coffee will be provided during the tour, but meals (such as breakfast and dinner) are not included. Participants are welcome to purchase additional food and beverages at their own cost.

Sunscreen and sunglasses are strongly recommended.

Cameras are welcome, but please respect the privacy of the property owners and the copyright of the artists whose work you will be viewing.
